MIND WHAT YOU CONFESS

As we journey through the darkest of ages back into the light we ought to be diligent and mindful of the identity we put on. We ought to be watchful so that the light garment of self-identification be not tarnished with the slightest stain of flesh and that the shame of human nakedness is not revealed. The art of watchfulness and alertness is about retaining knowledge of the true divine nature of God that I possess. That which I know myself to be is that which I confess I am, and the fruits are clearly seen. The Bad tree will bring forth bad fruits while the good tree will bring forth good fruits. On tree yields fruits of life while the other yields fruits of death.

What I confess myself to be either elevates or maintains me in life or does the exact opposite, kill me. In plain words what I confess with myself to be is the one factor that will determine my course in this present world and in the ages to come.

Proverbs 18:21  Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Like the little rudder stirring a mighty ship or a little cockpit wheel directing a massive airliner, so does the confession of the little tongue determine my path in life. Confession in this context speaks about self-identification, my inner conviction of who I am. If I equate myself in truth to the true creature of God who is the image of the invisible and incorruptible God, I can only but live. If on the other hand I erroneously equate myself to another, to that which is terrestrial and mortal I simply dies off.

The true witness lives by the eternal name of the Father and thus is granted entrance into the glory of the Father. The false witness or liar lives off the illusion of a finite human existence and thus spontaneously loses out on the eternal blessing and slips further away into greater spiritual bondage.

Proverbs 19:5  A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape.

Proverbs 19:9  A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall perish.

It may baffle the religious human mind to know that there is nobody whatsoever that is blessing you or cursing you.  My course in life depends solely on my individual self, who I claim to be. I simply reap what I sow through confession of being. My confession of being either causes the garden to flourish abundantly or wither away into a perpetual desert state.

Paul eloquently puts it this way, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Galatians 6:7 -9

I sow to the Spirit (The Lord) by living on account of his name and I sow to the flesh by living out of the lower human existence in this material age. Confessing the name of the Lord is living solely by his name, and it requires patience, perseverance, continuity and unhindered faith in this world of deceitful appearances. If I continue in this confession of the most holy faith by living unto the name of the Lord, I reap eternal life. Eternal life is the Lord’s. This is the narrow path unto life.

The proverbial Story of Adam is an example of how man is deceived into putting aside his divine identity for that of a mortal man and hence inherits the curse of alienation from the life of God. Adam’s confession changed from being the “I Am”, the immortal and incorruptible Lord of Glory to that of a lower being from the dust beneath. From the moment Adam put on the identity of mortal man the fruitful garden becomes a desert like camp and as he continues to equate himself to being mortal he dies of in his ignorance.

“cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. (Genesis 3:17-19)

Notice that Adam is simply reaping what he sows (cursed is the ground for thy sake), meaning no one is curing or blessing you. If I was in truth I know the truth and it makes me free from the prison house of death where men of this world beneath inhabit. If I walk in falsehood I simply inherit the fruit of death, sorrow and pain. It is all about my confession of being.

The teacher will say that by your spoken words are you either justified in the sweet pleasurable presence of God or condemned and cast out into outer darker where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth. Confession of the divine one aligns you with the divine, while confession of the human self annihilates mans from the very life of God.

Matthew 12:37  For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The wages of sin is death, or we can say the recompense of confessing a wrong identity is death. The gift of eternal life is relocating the celestial man of God and living by him. The sin that slays man is confession of the wrong identity, and indeed all men have to some extent partaken of this act and thus tasted of this phenomenon called death and do abide in it until the light of the world dawned on them. The illuminating effect of this great inspiration from above unveils the true divine nature that we possess from eternity. Jesus is that one celestial man which everyman must see by the revelatory eyes of the Spirit. All must see Him and believe Him as their life and live by that life. It is all about confessing the divine as my true life.

What do we do then? Change our confession and walk in newness of life according to the Spirit daily. This ushers us into the new age of God’s kingdom.
